Ben Howland completed his eighth year as the UCLA men’s basketball head coach following the 2010-11 campaign. In 2011, Coach Howland led the Bruins to a 23-11 overall record, a third round appearance in the NCAA Tournament and a second-place finish (13-5) in Pac-10 regular season play.
At the national level, Coach Howland has guided the Bruins to three consecutive NCAA Final Fours (2006-08), including the 2006 national championship game and a total of six NCAA Tournament appearances since 2004-05.
In conference play, Coach Howland directed the Bruins to three consecutive Pac-10 regular season championships (2006-08) and in 2006 and 2008 the Bruins also won the Pac-10 Tournament.
In 2008, Coach Howland became one of just three coaches in NCAA Div. I history to win at least 30 games in three consecutive seasons (2006-08). During that three-year time frame, Coach Howland won more games (97) than any other head coach in UCLA history, including a school-record 35 victories in 2007-08.
